Cake Smash on the Beach Family Photography Session

This sweet family was visiting from Israel and found my work on Instagram. I try to keep my social media accounts updated (Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest), and I have to admit that sometimes it feels like a pointless endeavor. It’s been nice lately to have gotten some clients through Instagram or Facebook; that’s when it feels like all the time I’ve spent uploading posts has paid off.

We met at at South Pointe Park before sunset. First we took some family photos and then it was time for the cake smash. The last 1 year old cake smash session I did the girl wasn’t very happy about getting her hands dirty but this boy was all in. We were laughing as he dug into the cake with both hands and looked up with a smile that said it all. His sister wasn’t too happy that it wasn’t her cake smash session. She sat herself next to her brother and cried. Minutes later the whole family was enjoying the rest of the cake, and she finally was consoled by having the cake to herself.

Can’t wait for them to see these photos when they’re all grown up! I imagine they’ll have a good laugh.
