Collins Avenue Family Photo Shoot on the Beach

I had the joy of photographing this family a few years ago at South Pointe Park. This time we met up on the beach next to where they were staying on Collins Avenue in Miami Beach. We photographed by the greenery next to their building, on the boardwalk and on the beach itself. I love the variety of backgrounds, but more importantly I adore the interaction between the siblings: running along the shore together, piggy back rides, hugs, playing in the water, etc. I had a blast photographing this family and look forward to photographing them again in the future ūüôā

Oh my goodness.TWO redheads? Seriously, how did I get so lucky? They were so freakin’ adorable and the light was just epic on this particular afternoon. The sun made their hair color pop and I love the contrast of colors against the blue of the water and sky. Their parents were ever so sweet and we got some great photos of them giving their parents hugs and eskimo kisses. It would be amazing to photograph them in 5, 10, 20 years from now (sort of like the Brown Sisters project by Nicholas Nixon).

Enchanted Forest Park Newborn Photography Session

I photographed this family a couple of years ago at Pine Tree Park after they had their first son. The grandparents came along while this time it was just the four of them. They had just had their second son and this time we headed to Enchanted Forest Elaine Gordon Park in North Miami. I love the last two photos of the dad holding his newborn son on his outstretched arm. They have a large canvas print of the same photo with their oldest son, so they wanted the same photo with their second son to place beside the original canvas. So grateful when clients come back for return photo sessions and I can document their family as they grow.

¬†As an aside, you can reach more about who Elaine Gordon was on FIU’s scholarship page. I was wondering who the park was named after, so a quick Google search yielded more information.

This Enchanted Forest Park Newborn Photography Session took place in the late morning. Newborn sessions are best scheduled either at-home or outdoors in a shaded park.
