I loved everything about this session, from the beautiful light illuminating them from the east, to their warmth and easy laughter. This family was staying at the Marriott Stanton South Beach hotel. They were interested in booking a sunrise session on the beach. We met up very early but it was worth it. There’s a beautiful golden light that doesn’t last very long – and if the sun is behind the clouds the light of course is absent.

They did a great job on their outfits as well. The different shades of coral complemented the blues of the sky and ocean. More importantly though than what they wore, was the way in which they broke down into laughter a bunch of times. It was quite warm and humid outside, another reason why scheduling sessions early in the morning or in the afternoons before sunset is important, particularly during the summer months. The weather is can be quite pleasant and even cold by the water during the cooler months of the year.
