Miami Beach Surprise Proposal featured in Martha Stewart Weddings

Rodney contacted me about planning a surprise proposal for his girlfriend. We decided to meet at South Pointe Park. They spent some time in Little Havana and then took an uber to the park. I sat on a bench nervously waiting for them. He sent me a photo in advance so I knew who to look for, and he also texted me a description of their outfits. It was a weekend and South Pointe was bustling. When I saw them pass by me, I followed from a distance as they walked toward the beach. Since the beach itself was full of people, Rodney walked with her onto the rocks overlooking the water. I followed about 15 feet behind them. Milly looked around her to see if someone was around to take their photograph. Trying to be discreet, I pretended to photograph the view. Since no one else was around, Milly approached me: do you mind taking a photo of us? Little did she know that just minutes later Rodney would be proposing to her. She had no idea and was completely in shock and emotional. Meanwhile, everyone around us started cheering and clapping. It was a special moment.

The story doesn’t end there. A week after I posted their proposal photo on Instagram, I was contacted by Martha Stewart Weddings asking me if they could feature the photo for a proposal story they were working on.
