1 Hotel South Beach Family Photographer

This family photo session was centered around an energetic, rambunctious and very adorable toddler. The initial plan was to photograph on the beach behind their hotel – the 1 Hotel South Beach.

When I got there, they wondered if we could also photograph in and around the hotel. I was glad they mentioned it, because the hotel had several different backdrops with beautiful lighting. It adds an extra element to the photographs once you get to incorporate different textures, lighting and backgrounds. It also helps to keep the energy of the session moving by going to different spots, especially with a kid that doesn’t want to sit still!

Everyone was completely involved and wrapped up in the boy’s antics. At the beach he took off running, quite happy to let off some steam. Why sit still for a family photograph when you can run and have everyone chase after you? Much more fun.
