Miami Baby Photographer at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden

I’ve just recently discovered Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden as a great spot for photo sessions. The nice part about Fairchild is that it’s well-maintained and has a lot of variety of plants and greenery (if you love plants/nature you will love this place!). It’s also been pretty empty the few times I’ve been.

I met this family at Fairchild for a morning session with their adorable 4 month old baby. I was so amazed at how happy she was for almost the entire hour! They mentioned that they nap her often which explained why she was so animated and in a great mood for so long 🙂 They actually got married at Fairchild so they decided to return with their little one.

Even though they are new parents, they were so laid-back and easygoing during the session. I bet that’s where their baby gets it from! We explored part of the gardens but there’s no way you can cover the entire grounds in an hour! Still, there was plenty of variety in just one half of the gardens alone.

4 Tips to Prepare for a Baby Photo Session:

1. Schedule the session when your baby is happiest (after nap, feeding, etc.)
2. Bring a small blanket along for some sitting or crawling photos
3. Make sure you have drinks and snacks for some breaks in middle, if needed
4. Have an extra outfit or two on hand for the baby just in case!
