Bill Baggs Lighthouse Proposal

The plan: Trey wanted me to be able to set up him and his girlfriend to pose in a great spot. He had an idea which was to approach them and tell them that I’m a student photographer and would it be ok if I took their photo to test out the lighting? He knew she would say yes, and that way I could have them positioned where I thought would be best.

How it went down: I arrived a little early and spotted the two of them walking onto the beach. I went over to the them and asked if I could take their photo and she didn’t even hesitate. She was hoping to get some good photos of the two of them and was happily surprised when a “random stranger” approached to take their picture.

I placed them in an area where the lighthouse was in perfect view in the background, and took their photo. He then got down on one knee and she was completely surprised and over-the-moon excited! After the proposal we took a few more photos in the gorgeous golden light before sunset.
