Large Family Photography Beach Session at Sunrise in Miami, Florida

So grateful I was able to photograph this Cuban-American family. The great-grandparents are just the sweetest couple, and every one in this extended family just radiated kindness and warmth. We met at South Pointe Park for a sunrise session. We took a variety of photos: the entire family together, each individual family, all the cousins together.. and my very favorite set of images, one of the grandson’s dancing with his grandmother. It was one of those rare moments where an entire family gets together, so getting to photograph them together was a special event.

If you need ideas on what to wear to a family photo shoot, this Pinterest board has ideas for what to wear. White photographs really well on the beach, as you can see from this photo session. All white, white + khaki, white + jeans (except in the warm months), are easy to coordinate colors with a large, extended family and it looks good on the beach and by the greenery. You can also change it up by everyone wearing different colors (a mix of whites, blues, pinks, etc.). I think it’s best for everyone to feel comfortable in what they’re wearing, so wearing different colored outfits is fine, too!
