Miami Beach Botanical Garden Maternity Session

This couple came to Miami all the way from Dubai and I had such a blast photographing them! They have such a great sense of humor, in case you couldn’t tell from the photos 🙂 They wanted more of a tropical, green background so we met up at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden. It’s one of my favorite spots in South Beach if you want a little bit of peace and quiet in nature. While it’s quite small for a Botanical Garden, there’s still plenty of different backgrounds for photos. I love that they brought along a babies outfit along with a tiny pair of shoes.

This Miami Beach Botanical Garden Maternity Session took place in the early afternoon. You can take a look at all of the maternity photo sessions on the blog as well as other photo shoots at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden. As of April 2019, they are charging $50 an hour to photograph at the gardens. For ideas on what to wear. you can take a look at this Maternity Pinterest board. Maternity Sessions are best scheduled at around 6-8 months of pregnancy, when you are obviously showing. You don’t need to bring any props but feel free to do so. There are many great spots in Miami Beach for a maternity session. If you have a particular spot in mind, let me know. Otherwise I can suggest a nice spot based on which area of Miami you’re staying in, and whether you have a preference for greenery, the beach or both! You can wear one outfit for the whole session, or bring a change of outfits in middle for a different look. You can bring one casual outfit and one dressier, it’s up to you. If you prefer the beach, just keep in mind it can be a little windy there depending on the day. A towel and clean change of clothes for after the session (if you decide to put your feet in the water), as well as some water bottles to stay hydrated during the session is highly recommended!
