Miami’s Top Surprise Proposal Ideas:
- A Sunrise or Sunset Beach Session
Take a stroll along the the water as you watch the sun rise or if you’re not early risers, take a walk in the afternoon 1-2 hours before sunset. If you’re staying by a hotel that’s on the water, this can be the easiest option so you don’t have to travel anywhere. You can then treat your partner to a romantic restaurant for dinner. - Vizcaya Museum and Gardens
You can take a tour through the Vizcaya Museum and then propose in its beautiful gardens. The purchase of a photo permit is required (not including entrance tickets into the museum itself). Some proposal spots include: the Tea House, the casino, the central water fountains where it leads to the casino. - Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden
Fairchild is a huge botanic garden in Coral Gables. You can propose in front of Glade Lake where you have a beautiful tropical view in the background with views of the lake and palm trees. There are other nice spots too such as the by the Vine Pergola. - Cape Florida Lighthouse
You can propose at the historic and iconic Cape Florida Lighthouse. The best time is either in the morning after it opens or in the afternoon 1-2 hours before sunset. It’s a lot emptier and quieter in the morning, especially on weekends. - South Pointe Park
South Pointe Park is a beautiful location in South Beach. You can propose on the beach itself, on the rocks by the water, or on the west side if you want to capture the view of downtown Miami and the skyline. South Pointe does get very busy especially on weekends so there may be lots of people around. You can make reservations afterward to eat at Smith & Wollensky, the only restaurant in South Pointe Park (and it’s by the water), or opt for drinks at the restaurant’s bar before you take a stroll along the beach.
These locations are some of my top favorite spots for a proposal in Miami, but there are certainly other great spots as well. Let me know what you have in mind! You can send an email to info@tovaphotography.com or head over to the contact page to get in touch.
