Wynwood Family Photographer: Year number five!

Wynwood Family Photographer: Year number five!

I’ve been photographing this family for five years now; from when the youngest was under a year and not even walking on her own yet! It’s hard to remember what they looked like at that age, but thankfully there are photos to remind us 🙂 That was year #1. You can also check out their session from two years ago and three years ago. We’ve always met up at South Pointe Park, however this year they decided to meet up in Wynwood instead. I think it’s safe to say the kids had the most fun yet. I scouted the area in advance and found several backgrounds where the light was nice in the morning. The girls had a blast running around Wynwood. Wynwood Family Photographer

You can take a look at all of the photo sessions in Wynwood. If you’re thinking of taking photos in Wynwood and wondering what to wear: you can choose a classic look such as white and/or black like this family did (or all white), or you can go bold and wear colorful outfits like you see in this session. Either option works. The most important thing is to feel comfortable and good in what you’re wearing. Check out this Pinterest board for ideas on what to wear to a photo shoot.

Check out all of the family photo sessions on the blog. This Wynwood Family Photographer session took place on a weekend in the early morning (there are less people around at this time). I have a list of some of my other favorite locations in Miami for a photo shoot. Wynwood is one of those places where you can really photograph at any time, morning, afternoon or mid-day. Just keep in mind that mid-day in the summer will be hot and humid, so come prepared with cold drinks and comfortable, breathable outfits, and maybe even a change of clothing.

The Wynwood Walls (a private, enclosed area with murals) opens at 10:30am and closes at different times depending on the day. It gets super busy, especially on weekends, but the surrounding public area of the Wynwood district is full of murals and you can find spots without lots of people – that’s where we went for this session (the Walls were closed since we met up before 10am).
