I tend to photograph in scenic places such as the beach or parks at sunrise or before sunset. This family knew what they wanted from the outset – so off we headed to the Wynwood Art District. it was definitely something different than what I usually do, however these three made it a blast – I can’t begin to tell you how much energy they had, as we walked around a large portion of the area while they jumped, ran, and climbed their way through the Wynwood Walls. If you’re looking to take photos in Miami and want something totally different, definitely check out this area for a Wynwood family session!

Note that the walls are constantly changing, so what you see now may not be what’s there tomorrow. The best time to photograph a Wynwood Family Session would either be 1-2 hours after sunrise or 2-3 hours before sunset. I think this location would be best for smaller families (4-5 people max) and even couples looking for something different – you can even consider this place for an engagement session in Miami! Keep in mind that you will probably encounter a lot less people in the early morning than in the afternoon.

For a Wynwood Family Session make sure you bring a lot plenty of drinks and even food for kids, as there is little to no shade in the area. Even if you don’t come here to take photos, you may want to check out some of the famous food/coffee shops such as Panther Coffee and Zak the Baker. Also, every second Saturday of the month is the Wynwood Gallery Walk, where you can check out all the art galleries.
