One of my favorite kinds of sessions are surprise proposals. We planned ahead of time exactly where I would meet them and where they would head towards. Once I spotted them, I followed behind from a distance until they got to the South Pointe pier, where there’s a beautiful view of the ocean. A few minutes later a plane flew past them with a sign that read: Maria, I love you! Will you marry me? He got down on one knee and proposed… she said yes!! We then walked around the park before sunset to take more photos of the two of them together.
You never know how a day can turn out. 5pm was approaching along with a cool, gusty wind. I arrived at the Fontainebleau as the sun vanished behind dark, ominous clouds. We walked towards the beach when drops of rain began to fall. We discussed re-scheduling the session for another day as we headed back indoors. Five minutes passed and we noticed that the rain had ceased. We decided to give it another go. The beach was almost entirely clear of people so we had the place to ourselves! Finally, the sun came out – a beautiful, golden light – followed by a double rainbow, a perfect end to the session.
