Cape Florida Lighthouse Key Biscayne Proposal Photographer

The Plan: For this surprise proposal, he chose the Cape Florida Lighthouse as the location. It’s located in Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, which opens at 8am. We set the time for 8:30am so I could be in place before they would arrive. I sent him a map along with some photos showing him exactly where to walk when they got to the beach. It’s important for them to be in the right place so I can capture both them and the lighthouse in the same photo.

How it went down: Since he had texted me their outfits and a photo of the two of them in advance, I spotted them right away. They walked towards the spot I told him and he got down on one knee. She said yes!! Afterwards they called their loved ones and she excitedly showed off her new engagement ring. We spent the remainder of this the morning photographing in the area. There are no shortage of stunning views in the park!
