Miami Beach Romantic Sunrise Couple Photo Shoot
The story goes like so many… they started out as just friends, and then it eventually turned into something more. Something quite… special. These two were pure joy to work with. I totally got lost in the photo session, it’s hard to explain but it’s like when you get completely lost in what you’re doing and time doesn’t exist. Some of my favorite photos are the ones where they burst out laughing in-between the romantic poses. I love those moments.
This Miami Beach Romantic Sunrise Couple photo session took place at South Pointe Park just after sunrise. You can check out other photo shoots at South Pointe Park.
This couple opted for a change of outfits mid-session. Notice that they had one outfit for the beach and a different one for the greenery. It’s always nice having a two different outfits- you can change up the colors, the style, etc. You can have a more casual outfit for the beach and something more dressy (including dress shoes) for the park, for example. For sunrise sessions, I like to start out photographing on the beach and then move to the greenery where there’s some shade as the sun gets a little stronger. Here’s a link to some ideas for what to wear to a couple photo shoot.
For sunset sessions, it’s the reverse. We’ll start out in the greenery and then head to the beach to catch the golden colors of sunset. If it’s overcast, no worries – gorgeous photos can come from overcast skies. In fact, it creates very soft, even lighting that’s flattering for skin tones and people tend to squint less as well.
The only time we actually reschedule if it’s raining and doesn’t let up. Miami can be a surprise in regard to the weather, like a lot of places. It can rain all day and then clear up. Sometimes it’s the rainy days that have the most glorious sunset. We’ll keep an eye on the weather and see if it might clear up or not. As everyone knows, the forecast isn’t always right. But if it is one of those monsoonal days that doesn’t let up, we’ll postpone for another day. If you’re in town for a short amount of time, book the earliest day possible so if the weather doesn’t cooperate we may have the opportunity to try for another day.
