Tyler was coming into town from Nova Scotia, Canada and wanted to propose to his girlfriend in Miami.

The plan: Since he wanted a location that had both the beach, palm trees and a cityscape, we decided on South Pointe Park. For the actual proposal he wanted to capture both the ocean and the hotels alongside it. I told him which way to walk when he got there so we could capture that view.

How it went down: I followed them from a distance as they made their way to the beach. He knew exactly which way to go and walked to an area that was relatively empty of people. I loved her reaction!! She was obviously super excited and her face showed it! We spent the rest of the hour walking around South Pointe Park which has no shortage of beautiful landscapes. We ended the session at the top of the hill which as a great view of palm trees in the background and and the ocean.

See all of the surprise proposals in Miami on the blog and on Pinterest. You can also take a look at other photo sessions at South Pointe Park. This session took place in the afternoon before sunset. The best time for a beach session is generally around sunrise and 1-2 hours before sunset. Contact me here to book a photo session or send an email to info@tovaphotography.com.
