And now back to the beginning, when I followed them secretly from a distance:

South Pointe Park Surprise Proposal and Engagement Photography

Bare with me while I am still catching up from blogging sessions that took place nearly half a year ago. It’s been a busy year.

I can still remember this day distinctly. I was anxiously waiting for them on a bench behind Smith & Wollensky. They walked past me and I began to follow them from a distance. The plan was for them to walk straight down the pathway to the beach, but there was some sort of film crew blocking the path. HeĀ ended up proposing at the end of the pathway out of view from the film crew, and I can still remember people behind me watching in awe (gasps of “oh my gawd!”) as he got down on one knee and proposed.

After the proposal, we walked to the water where the wind was blowing up a storm. This happens from time to time, it’s the beach after all, where we are at the mercy of mother nature. We walked to the top of the pier and I had them stand in a direction where the wind blew her hair back. After that we walked off the beach to an area with tall beach grass – the first photo, my favorite from the session, was in that area. The light was soft but not too blue; the sun had yet to set. For the last set of photos, we walked toward an area where there are rocks lining the water. He lifted her up, with the last remnant of light illuminating their smiling faces.

You can see other surprise proposals on the blog. ThisĀ South Pointe Park Surprise Proposal and Engagement Photography took place at South Pointe Park which is located in South Beach, Florida.
