South Pointe Park Family Photography Session

This South Pointe Park Family Photography Session was pretty fantastic. They are obviously a very close family which always makes for great photos. They were also all super friendly and warm people i.e. we had a great vibe going 🙂 Brandon organized the family photo session and knew he wanted he wanted the photos to be at South Pointe Park. He also knew the spots he wanted to go to, so we spent the house making our way around South Pointe, one of my favorite places in South Beach.

We went on the pier overlooking the water, then made our way to the top of the hill. It’s a lovely spot overlooking the entire area: you can see the bay on your right hand side and the ocean in front of you. At just the right time, the sun came out with it’s fleeting golden light. We ended with some laughs, hugs and one last family photo.

Random side note: If you ever come to Miami, I definitely recommend check out the park and specifically, the South Pointe Park Pier. It was built several years ago and has a great view that makes you feel like you’re in middle of the ocean. If you’re feeling a little more adventurous, head out onto the adjacent rocky pier and climb the rocks where the fisherman are. At some point you’ll have to turn back where the rocks are slippery from crashing waves. Don’t go beyond where you feel comfortable!

Family of Four Miami Beach Photographer Sunset Session

I met this wonderful family from Houston, Texas. They were recommended by a past client of mine, also from Houston. We planned to meet for an afternoon session before sunset at South Pointe Park. The weather could not have turned out any better. The sun was out, acting as a hair light by the greenery, and then illuminating their faces with an orange glow by the time we made it to the beach. They were so much fun to work with and I love the way the photos turned out!

As an aside, they ordered a few enlargements for their home and messaged me: “I had another service print one for comparison and your printing service was infinitely better.” Besides for offering the high resolution digital photos, I also offer professional fine art prints. I individually edit each photo to prepare them for print, and then have them shipped directly to your home. They are high quality archival prints that will be infinitely better that the quality that you’ll get at your local retail store (CVS, Walgreens, etc.), as this client noted.

South Pointe Park Extended Family Photo Session

I photographed this family last year in the same location. We met again at South Pointe Park for an afternoon photo shoot. They are all so easy going and extremely kind people. Besides for taking some classic group family photos, some of of my favorites are the candid and natural moments.

The kids are the center of attention and for good reason. The two cousins are extremely close and watching them interact together was so adorable. What I especially adore is the relationship the grandparents have with their grandkids. You can see their closeness as grandma and her granddaughter twirl together, the hug she gives her grandfather, and the last photo as they grasp their grandparents’ hands as they play in the water.

What is always amazing is seeing how much the kids have changed since last year! It’s crazy looking at last year’s photo session and seeing how much they’ve grown in such a short time.
