Where to start with these two? They wanted photos of their ceremony as well as pictures of the two of them together afterward at Lummus Park. We met up one morning in April at the Miami Beach District Court. I arrived early as I usually do to look around and find areas where the nice is light. The courthouse is small but filled with beautiful intricate details and ample natural light. There are actually two entrances and these two doorways let soft sunlight in, particularly in the morning.
Once they arrived we headed up the elevator to the second floor. After a short wait and some quick signatures, we went into a small, elongated room decorated simply. The ceremony was quick but emotional – do you take him to be your lawfully wedded husband? I do. Do you take her to be you lawfully wedded wife? I do. Some tears were shed, some hugs and kisses, and now they were married.
They were giddy and adorable and just so much fun to photograph. They decided to photograph indoors instead of being outside where it was warm and very sunny. I think you can see from the photos that they were just being their complete, honest selves during the session: relaxed, happy, in love and having a blast together.
