Oh, these two. Jade contacted me about wanting to set up an engagement photo session over Labor day weekend. I was glad she chose a sunrise session because it was a weekend and especially on a holiday, it can be extremely packed with people. They told me they weren’t very photogenic (I hear this so many times!) but I can say they proved me wrong 🙂 Really, though, if you just show your love for your partner (or your kids) during the session – these make for the very best pictures.

Jade & Nick were just so sweet together and very much in love. I loved the little bit of time I got to spend with them.

For this Nautilus South Beach Engagement Photo Session at Sunrise session, we met at the beach behind the Nautilus South Beach Sixty Hotel. I would really only recommend photographing on the beach in this area for sunrise because otherwise it can be hard to not get other people in the photographs. The light can be truly beautiful at either sunrise or sunset.

I recommend bringing along a towel and change of clothes in case you put your feet in the water. For hour long sessions, there is enough time if you’d like to change your outfit for a different look.
