Get In Touch
I’ve had my eyes on the Museum Park in downtown Miami for awhile. It’s a spacious park by the bay with lots of greenery and palm trees. For some reason it doesn’t get very crowded so it’s a nice quiet oasis in Miami. This family decided on photographing here so I was thrilled to finally get the chance to go to a new spot.
The Museum Park is right next to the Perez Art Museum. I called ahead to get permission to photograph by the museum and was told it wasn’t a problem. About 20 minutes into photographing a security guard approached us and said we could not photograph on the museum grounds itself, so we headed to the nearby park and continued the session there.
I love a lot of the moments we were able to capture- their son was so adorable and loved “playing” with the baby in mom’s belly! As a Miami pregnancy photographer, I aim to capture the whole family together, some of mom + dad, a few of mom alone, and of course sweet and interactive moments between the family.
So- after the session I called the museum again and this time was told it would cost $500 for a 2 hour session. Of course that is to photograph on the premises itself; the nearby Museum Park is completely free and open to the public. I would definitely recommend it as a beautiful spot in Miami for a maternity session, family or engagement shoot. Also, there is a very convenient parking garage at PAM. If you’re lucky you might spot manatees and even dolphins in the bay!
