Miami Sunrise Boat Proposal and Engagement Photographer

The plan: He hired a boat along with a wonderful boat captain for a 2 hour boat ride at the Prime Marina Miami. It was for a sunrise session in February so the weather was pleasantly warm. While she knew he was going to propose, she didn’t know how, but she did know a photographer would be there 🙂

How it went down: We met up early one morning and the boat captain was super nice saying he could turn the boat in any direction so we could get great lighting. We photographed nearly the entire time, enjoying the beautiful views in all directions. It’s an incredible thing seeing Miami from a different perspective. About 15 minutes into the ride once we were out on the water, he signaled to me that he was about to propose. I then set them up in a pose where the lighting was good. He went down on one knee and in an emotional moment, she said yes. After photographing a bit more in their formal outfits, they changed into something more casual and comfortable. I loved the remaining moments captured of the two of them together, reveling in each other’s love.

if you’re thinking of booking a surprise proposal photo session, one suggestion would be to get a Ring Stash so you won’t have a large ring box bulging in your pocket! Someone used it on a past shoot and I thought it was a great idea to pass along 🙂
